Well, now that we officially know that A Nightmare On Elm Street is getting remade (as confirmed by our own Mr. Disgusting), it’s time to start thinking about how should wield the iconic finger knives again. After all, that’s a mighty large red and green sweater that needs to be filled!
Fans didn’t take too kindly to Jackie Earle Haley’s performance in the 2010 remake, finding it too serious and dark, leaving it devoid of the personality and charm that Englund brought into the role.
While it’s sad that Englund has made it clear that he’s not interested in donning that burnt visage anymore, it’s great that New Line Cinema is still interested in keeping the property alive and in our nightmares.
