4. Septicflesh “Confessions of a Serial Killer”
This is symphonic metal done right. Along with the brutal death metal tone, there are orchestral and choral parts perfectly layered in this song as well, and some of the melodies sound like they could be the soundtrack for a Victorian vampire film. It’s a paramount mix of gloom, doom, and ferocity.
