3. Cathedral “Reaching Happiness, Touching Pain”
Cathedral’s “Forest of Equilibrium” is an album which is just completely brimming with doom and despair, and which also happens to be one of my favorite albums of all time. The dark sludge of the music in this song, combined with an eerie flute, painfully decrepit vocals, and an ominous organ outro… It evokes an intense sense of such uneasy dread.
