“Smile you son of a bitch!” – Jaws
“You’re gonna need a bigger boat” gets all the attention, but Brody’s final line before he kills the shark is the line that always stuck with me the most when I saw Jaws for the first time. Hell, it was enough to make Ellen Brody remember it in Jaws: The Revenge when she wasn’t even present to hear her husband say it! Sure, we don’t get to hear him actually say “bitch,” but it’s still a great line. Also, it’s a much more cathartic ending than the ending of the novel, which just featured the shark drowning and sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
