Hailing from Finland, Poets of the Fall are huge overseas, releasing one platinum album after another, their infectious mix of alt and pop rock propelling them into an elite level that has yet to be recognized, much less appreciated, Stateside.
One way they achieved some small bit of fame was their appearance and the multiple references to them in the horror video game Alan Wake, where they provided the music under the name Old Gods of Asgard. They also appeared in the spinoff Alan Wake’s American Nightmare.
One of Poets of the Fall’s trademarks for the past several years are these incredible music videos that have gorgeous visuals and a very high production value. And as a treat, many of them have a wonderful twisted slant to them that makes them perfect for Bloody-Disgusting.
