The Paranormal Activity series has a pretty complex narrative, and with Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension (which is being billed as the final film in the franchise) coming out (in select theaters October 23rd), we thought we would play a little catch-up with the ghostly franchise. What is so exciting about The Ghost Dimension is that people will finally be able to see the actual paranormal activity that has happened in the five previous films. Toby, the elusive demon that is constantly mentioned in all of the movies will finally (finally!) be visible. Here are 8 things you need to know about the Paranormal Activity franchise before heading into The Ghost Dimension!
1. Katie Found a Burnt Photograph in the Attic (PA1)
In the first “oh shit” moment of Paranormal Activity, Katie finds a burnt photograph of her younger self in the attic of her new home. The catch? Said photograph was supposedly burned in a house fire when she was a child (the same fire that ends Paranormal Activity 3). Spooky
2. Katie Murders Micah (PA1)
At the end of Paranormal Activity, Katie becomes possessed by the spirit that has been tormenting her and Micah. After walking downstairs and screaming at an as-yet-unknown thing (see the final slide), Micah runs downstairs, only to be murdered by Katie.
