Halloween is fast approaching, and since it’s known as the “scary holiday,” what better time to discuss all of our deepest and darkest fears? To get the ball rolling, I’ve made a list of my biggest fears. Maybe a better title for this post would be: “What Would Be Present In Your Own Personal Hell?” Because I’m sure that if Hell exists, mine will consist of all of these things. None of these are phobias in the sense that the thought of them cripples me, but they do scare me. A lot.
Cleithrophobia (Fear of Restricted Movement)
I have to be able to move my arms around. If my arms are constricted and I can’t move them around I have a literal panic attack. Even if I’m in a large, open room, but tied to a chair (my cousin did this to me once when I was younger), I freak out. Watching scenes with people being buried alive makes me extremely anxious, none more so than the below scene from Kill Bill: Volume 2.
