Actually, instead of imaging it, you can just watch Pontypool or The Signal, two underrated zombie(ish) films from the late 2000s that sort of flew under the radar. In The Signal, a mysterious radio transmission turns people into murderous psychopaths. In Pontypool, certain words in the English language turn their hosts into zombies upon hearing them.
