Criterion Collection
The Brood
Criterion Collection Blu-Rays cost a pretty penny, but they’re so worth it. Cronenberg’s masterpiece The Brood gets the Criterion treatment and it’s a beauty.
Don’t Look Now
I believe I’m one of the few people out there who finds Don’t Look Now to be overrated, but c’est la vie. It’s here in all its Criterion glory if you want it. It does have a really pretty cover though.
Dressed To Kill
Dressed To Kill, Brian De Palma’s homage to (or ripoff of, as some people would say) Hitchcock’s Psycho had a problematic first release but Criterion did us right and corrected it with a re-release later in the year. It’s a beautifully shot film with some great performances (I’m a sucker for Nancy Allen). Blu-Ray fans rejoice!
Mulholland Drive
Mulholland Drive may be one of the strangest movies ever created, but it’s also one of the best. It’s been long overdue for a proper Blu-Ray release and Criterion is the perfect company to take care of it. This Blu-Ray is an aboslute masterpiece.
