The EDM world has never really shied away from fucked up visuals. Health and Aphex Twin are great examples of electronic artists who used horror to its full advantage when creating a clip to go with their track.
Now LA electronic artist Valentino Khan has released his own creepy video that is perfect for our Twisted Music Video of the Week series! The video shows a man run into a small hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurant as though he’s fleeing from something. Inside, the staff and customers suddenly begin singing and moving strangely in beat to the music. Their bodies and eyes begin to shift and change in size, creating an unsettling sensation only for their faces to suddenly smooth over, leaving only their nostrils exposed.
It’s like a mix of The Twilight Zone: The Movie and The Matrix, only with a dash of Lovecraft tossed into the mix.
