Verdugo – Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 4 is a fantastic game. I think we can all agree on that, but it was somewhat lacking in boss fights (especially Saddler, who is arguably the worst/easiest final boss in the franchise’s history). The Verdugo was the beginning of Resident Evil’s decline into quick time events. First, you had to walk down a seemingly endless hall and repeatedly avoid the Verdugo’s tail attacks before getting locked in a room with him. Then you have to run up and down that hall again, finding tanks of liquid nitrogen to spray him with, making him more susceptible to your gunfire. It is actually a pretty cool boss fight, but what can make it so frustrating is if you accidentally open one or two of those liquid nitrogen tanks before the Verdugo gets to you.
