Tom Sizemore, who I absolutely love in Natural Born Killers, is making a killing in the last few weeks.
The other day it was announced that he’s to star in “Shooter,” USA Network’s upcoming drama series from Paramount TV and Universal Cable Prods.
Now, Bloody Disgusting has exclusively learned that Sizemore is also set to topline The Incurables, about a man testing out the transorbitol lobotomy.
Taking place in 1953, “Disgraced in the psychiatric hospital where he’d practiced nearly 30 years, Dr. Walter Freeman (Sizemore) has taken to traversing the country and proselyting about a very new kind of salvation: the transorbitol lobotomy. With an icepick and a hammer, Freeman lands in a town full of degenerates that test his own sanity.”
The adaptation is based on Jon Bassoff’s novel of the same name. Jack Reher and Jean-Marie Sobeck are adapting. Both are repped by Primary Wave Entertainment.
Reher is also adapting Bassof’s novel Corrosion for The Ring producer Mike Macari and Affirmative Entertainment’s Nicholas Bogner.
“It’s tremendously well written already, and the role SINGS!,” Sizemore tells us.
Sizemore, who is also producing, is currently filming Felt, Ridley Scott’s new production that stars Russell Crowe and Liam Neeson. He can also be seen in Fox’s “Lucifer” (pictured).
