1:4 Scale ‘The Howling’ Statue is the Most Epic of Statues (Exclusive)

“I’m much more than that, bright boy.”

If there was a “Mount Rushmore” of cinematic werewolves, three portraits would be carved into it: Larry Talbot by Jack Pierce, David Kessler by Rick Baker and Eddie Quist by Rob Bottin. The first two have been merchandised in the past, but now, for the first time ever, PCS Collectibles is proud to present a 1:4 scale statue of Bottin’s seminal creature work from Joe Dante’s The Howling.

As an accomplished fx artist himself, PCS Collectibles founder Jerry Macaluso has a deep appreciation for the expression of creative skill and imagination cinema makeup can provide, considering it a personal passion.

“As time has gone by, the company has become known for a variety of different product, and that’s great, I am tremendously proud of our catalog. But horror is my first love. It’s where my roots are. And since I’ve always found it shocking that no one has ever done an officially licensed Bottin wolf, I jumped at the chance to put one on the calendar.”

Beyond expert technicians, Pop Culture Shock’s staff are also genre enthusiasts and collectors themselves, each with a discerning eye for authenticity and gaping respect for what Mr. Bottin accomplished in his first big solo break. Fans have been clamoring for a wolf from Joe Dante’s celebrated film for decades, and the PCS crew understood that if they didn’t produce something worthy of that wait they’d risk being shipped off to The Colony.

Fortunately for their families, their efforts resulted in a loving tribute to Serial Murderer Eddie Quist devotees around the world will be proud to own.

This Tempting Madness clip

A hospital stay grows more nerve-frazzling when memory loss distorts reality in our exclusive clip from This Tempting Madness, inspired by a true story.

The mind-bending psychological thriller will be released in select theaters and on demand on June 12 via Vertical.

Simone Ashley (“Bridgerton”) stars as Mia, who awakens from a coma, grievously injured, her memory fractured. As she puts the pieces of her past together, she starts to question her own actions and her perception of reality.

In This Tempting Madness, “Mia awakens from a coma grievously injured, her memory fractured. As she puts the pieces of her past together, she starts to question her own actions, and her perception of reality.”

Jennifer E. Montgomery makes her feature directorial debut from a script she co-wrote with director of photography Andrew Davis, inspired by Montgomery’s first-hand experience with tragedy involving her best friend.

“Months before the incident, there were signals that her world was unraveling,” says Montgomery. “I could feel the pressure building, though I didn’t know what form it would take. I never could have known what violence would come, and I certainly never imagined making a film about it.”

Austin Stowell (“NCIS: Origins”), Suraj Sharma (Happy Death Day 2U), Mojean Aria (Reminiscence), Amol Shah (“For All Mankind”), and Zenobia Shroff (“Ms. Marvel”) round out the cast.

Smoke Jumper Films and Mango Monster Productions produce in association with Catchlight Studios (HereticThe Blackening).

This Tempting Madness is rated R for “language, violence/bloody images, and brief sexuality.”
