Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive first look at Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild, The Girl Next Door, Freaks) in the new psychological thriller State of Consciousness for Iervolino Entertainment, which began filming last week in Bari, Italy, and the surrounding areas.
In the film, “Nightmares and reality become indistinguishable to Stephen (Hirsch) when he is forced to take medication for a psychological disorder he doesn’t have. To regain his sanity and get back to his normal life, he sets out to escape from the institution he has been trapped in.”
Marcus Stokes (“Supergirl”, “Criminal Minds”) is directing the movie also starring Michael E. Rodgers and Lara Pictet.
The screenplay was written by Rylend Grant & Dikran Ornekian and Guillaume Tunzini.
The film is produced by Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi.
Silvio Muraglia’s Paradox Studios acquired worldwide distribution rights.
