UK’s Final Cut to Release ‘I’m Dangerous Tonight’ on DVD

Published

on

In 1990 Tobe Hooper directed a made-for-TV horror movie entitled I’m Dangerous Tonight, starring “Twin Peaks'” Mädchen Amick, which aired on the USA Network. The film looks vaguely familiar to me so I’m not entirely sure if I’ve seen it or not. I’d guess that I probably have because I used to watched made-for-TV horror films on USA and other similar networks all the time growing up. So have stuck with me and some have it. If I did catch I’m Dangerous Tonight it’s safe to say that it’s one that didn’t stick.

UK’s Final Cut Entertainment is gearing up to give the film a DVD release which I believe will be the world-wide DVD debut for the film. It definitely hasn’t been released in the US yet and as far as I can tell no other country has received a release. Because this is a UK release this will be region 2 of course, but nonetheless very exciting news. I love when made-for-TV movies get salvaged and get proper releases. I’d prefer Blu-ray, but unfortunately there is no HD master available for this one so DVD will have to do.

Synopsis:
When a college student turns an ancient Aztec cloak into a party dress the results are catastrophic. The death toll mounts as supernatural powers cause the deaths of anyone who comes into contact with the dress.

The film will be released on July 18th, but you can currently pre-order from Amazon.UK for £11.99, which comes out to about $17 and with shipping you’re probably looking at $20 (to get this in the US). I’m intrigued by this and will likely pick it up. The film was directed by Hooper and stars Anthony Perkins and Dee Wallace so it has to be at least decent, right? Has anyone seen this before? If so, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
