‘Child’s Play’ Gets Definitive Collector’s Edition Blu-ray From Scream Factory!
Chucky is back! Child’s Play hit theatres in 1988, and forever changed the way the world saw dolls. On October 18, 2016, the SCREAM FACTORY home entertainment brand celebrates the landmark film and the iconic character with a 2-disc Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release which includes a brand new 2K scan of the film and hours of bonus material.
Scream Factory will also have a limited edition set offer complete with an exclusive poster, slipcover and “Good Guys” Chucky action figure from NECA available for pre-order on shoutfactory.com beginning July 7th.
The “chills come thick and fast” (Los Angeles Times) in this riveting, jolt-a-minute thriller about an innocent-looking doll inhabited by the soul of a serial killer who refused to die. From the director of Fright Night, Child’s Play comes complete with “excellent special effects” (Leonard Maltin) and a slew of special features that make this Blu-ray your “friend to the end!”
Since its release, the killer-doll film, alongside its synonymous character, has proven itself one of the all-time horror classics, and Child’s Play is now offered as a definitive, two-disc Collector’s Edition Blu-ray.

‘Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story’ Slashes into VHS from Lunchmeat!
The SCREAMBOX Original documentary Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story is now streaming on SCREAMBOX, and it’s next coming to VHS!
A limited edition of only 50 copies worldwide, the VHS copies of the Englund documentary will go up for grabs on Saturday, April 27 at 12pm EST on Lunchmeat’s official website.
Josh Schafer of Lunchmeat explains, “With so many of Englund’s works being seen and familiarized on videotape, it only felt right to offer fans and collectors the opportunity to experience this fantastic doc on VHS. We all know the Freddy movies just feel different on videocassette, and we wanted to bring that feel to this film for those who want it.”
