‘Awakening the Zodiac’ Clip Adds to the Killer’s Resume
Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions and Vertical Entertainment have just released Jonathan Wright’s Awakening the Zodiac, and Bloody Disgusting now has a clip in which the Zodiac adds to his list of victims.
Starring Shane West, Leslie Bibb, and Matt Craven, the story follows a down-on-their-luck couple who discovers a serial killer’s film reels. They decide to take the law into their own hands, risking everything for the chance at a $100,000 reward. It isn’t long until they find themselves in the killer’s lethal cross-hairs.
Pat reviewed the film saying it falls asleep on its script.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. Instead, they unearth The Gate — an underground chamber of terrifying demonic evil. The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
If you’ve never seen The Gate, it’s now streaming on Prime Video and Tubi.
