Dario Argento’s ‘Suspiria’ Streaming on Amazon!!

Published

Good news! Obviously, it’s a pretty big deal that Dario Argento‘s Suspiria, which is currently out of print, is finally available to rent or stream. For those needing to revisit this instant classic immediately, Amazon has made it available for rent or purchase, with Amazon Prime users able to stream it for free.

Bad news. It’s only is SD, which is just unacceptable for a film that boasts some of the best cinematography in cinema history.

Good news! A 4K transfer is still on the way. Yay!

It’s the year of the witch as the film is also touring festivals for a special reason: they’ve recently uncovered a rare 35mm print that’s fully uncut.

Starring Jessica Harper, “In a stormy night, the American dancer Suzy Bannion arrives in Freiburg coming from New York to join a famous and expensive ballet school for a three years training. On the next morning, she is informed by the direction of the school that a student she met leaving the place on the previous night was violently murdered and the police is investigating the crime.

Don’t trip, it’s all good…

backrooms box office Backrooms Digital Release

Are you ready to go back?

After a record-breaking box office run and an extended cut re-release, A24 and director Kane Parsons’ Backrooms is heading home to Digital.

Backrooms will be available to rent or buy this Tuesday, July 14.

In the film, Chiwetel Ejiofor stars in Backrooms as the owner of Cap’n Clark’s Ottoman Empire, who discovers a strange doorway in the basement of the furniture showroom. He sets out to explore the mysterious, liminal space, walking headfirst into a creepypasta nightmare.

Renate Reinsve (A Different Man) also stars in Backrooms.

Will Soodik wrote the screenplay.

I wrote in my review, “Backrooms is at once complex and sparse, but never repetitive. It might be set in 1990, but it effectively captures modern anxieties and isolation in a way that frequently makes your skin crawl. While the journey ultimately loses steam by its cryptic end, Parsons’ visual representation of the human psyche disturbs like no other.”

YouTube prodigy Kane Parsons makes his feature directorial debut based on his creepypasta-inspired video series, which debuted in 2022 and has amassed over 190 million views to date.
