We’re just one week away from the home video release!
When Andy Muschietti’s IT arrives on 4K Ultra HD, DVD and Blu-ray next Tuesday, we’ll be treated to eleven deleted/extended scenes, including an alternate gag opening that we got an early look at last month. One of those extended scenes, recently described to us by a fan who got their hands on the Australian release, actually includes two new character deaths.
In the scene, “As the Losers’ Club heads into the Neibolt house, Henry sits in his car with his face covered in blood. Belch and Victor are dead with throats slit.”
Henry only killed his father prior to this scene in the theatrical cut of the film, but the additional murders of Belch and Victor really drive home how insane he has become. This extended version of the scene also makes better sense of Henry being completely covered in blood towards the end of the movie.
You can watch the scene below, which will presumably be restored for the Director’s Cut.
IT arrives on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack/Blu-ray Combo Pack/DVD on January 9, 2018. Best Buy will be getting an exclusive Steelbook, while Target is getting their own version that includes a lenticular cover and “Welcome to Derry” postcards.
