Is Blumhouse’s ‘Family Blood’ a Vampire Movie?

Blumhouse makes a lot of movies in secret that are never announced. Most end up direct to Netflix, VOD or on DVD. Such the case with Sonny Mallhi‘s Family Blood, which looks like a movie about a class of vampires.

All that is known about the film is that it stars Vinessa Shaw , James Ransone (Sinister), and Colin Ford, and that it will have a one-week theatrical run on March 16th at the Arena Lounge in Hollywood.

Update: I was able to get my hands on the synopsis, which reads:

Ellie, a recovering drug addict, has just moved to a new city with her two teenage children. She has struggled to stay sober in the past and is determined to make it work this time, finding a stable job and regularly attending her meetings. Unfortunately, new friends, a new job, and the chance of a new life, can’t keep Ellie from slipping once again. Her life changes when she meets Christopher – a different kind of addict – which forces her daughter and son to accept a new version of Ellie.

No word on VOD or DVD release dates, but we’ll update you as soon as the info becomes available.
