‘Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ Getting Steelbook Blu-ray at Best Buy With Awesome Art

Published

You surely already own *at least* one Blu-ray copy of Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, a film that has been released countless times in countless different packages over the years. The coolest was easily Dark Sky and MPI’s 40th anniversary “Black Maria” set, which housed the Blu-ray inside a replica of the Black Maria truck.

But if you love the movie and you’re a sucker for kickass new art, you might be interested in Best Buy’s upcoming Steelbook Blu-ray release of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, arriving in stores on June 5, 2018. According to Best Buy’s listing, the Steelbook comes courtesy of MPI Media, which means it contains the 40th anniversary Blu-ray inside.

The Steelbook has a listed price of $17.99. Check out the new art below.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
