[Exclusive Video] David Gordon Green On the ‘Halloween’ Kill He Had Been Waiting His Whole Career to Film

David Gordon Green’s Halloween will debut on Digital 12/28 (that’s tomorrow!) and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on 1/15, and the release is packaged with extras including deleted/extended scenes and a handful of featurettes. Ahead of tomorrow’s Digital release, we’re excited to share an exclusive clip from one of those featurettes.

In the clip, David Gordon Green shares his personal favorite kill from the movie, which was based on something he’s been haunted by for the past 15 years.

I’ve thought for over a decade that if I ever made a horror movie, I would have to include that moment,” he notes, speaking of Oscar’s gory death scene.

One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!

The new release will feature fresh SteelBook artwork from Vance Kelly, seen below.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones.
