Horror Films Heading to Hulu This April Include ‘Misery’ and ‘Let Me In’

There’s going to be nothing but time over the next few months as we collectively wait out the coronavirus storm. If there’s one positive in all of this, it’s that streaming is the future and we have no shortage of entertainment right at our fingertips.

Hulu has a few gems set to hit their service this coming April, beginning on the first when both of Quentin Tarantino‘s Kill Bill films stream, sending Uma Thurman‘s The Bride on a revenge mission against the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad.

Before Matt Reeves was hired to direct The Batman, he made his directorial debut on Let Me In, a remake of Let the Right One In that follows a bullied young boy who befriends a young female vampire who lives in secrecy with her guardian. It features a young Chloë Grace Moretz.

Stephen King tackled toxic fandom all the way back in the 1980s with Misery, which was adapted into the terrifying 1990 thriller from Rob Reiner and starring James Caan as a famous author who is rescued from a car crash by a fan of his novels, played by Kathy Bates. He soon comes to realize that the care he is receiving is only the beginning of a nightmare of captivity and abuse.

Also joining Hulu on April 1st is the unwatchable The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008) and Ruben Fleischer‘s undead horror-comedy classic Zombieland (2009), starring Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Woody Harrelson.

While extremely horror adjacent, the Oscar-winning Parasite is streaming on April 8th from NEON, while April 20th will see the release of Paranormal Activity 3, one of the best films in the found-footage franchise.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. Instead, they unearth The Gate — an underground chamber of terrifying demonic evil. The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.

If you’ve never seen The Gate, it’s now streaming on Prime Video and Tubi.
