Scream Factory Fully Details This October’s 16-Disc ‘Friday the 13th’ Blu-ray Collection!

After this morning’s leak, Scream Factory has now officially announced that they’re releasing the 12-film, 16-disc Friday the 13th Complete Collection to Blu-ray on October 13, 2020.

The collaboration with Paramount Studios and New Line Cinema will be a Region A release, and Scream Factory provides us with some early details along with box art today.

Housed in new collectible rigid slipcover case and packed with hours and hours of new and existing special features, this 16-disc set includes all 12 Friday the 13th films.

The company explains, “Each film inside the slipcover packaging will receive a dedicated Blu-ray case featuring original theatrical artwork. (Similar to how we presented Halloween, The Omen, The Fly and Critters boxsets.) Some films in the set will have reversible sleeves with alternative cover art, giving you the option to swap them around.”

“New & existing extras from prior home entertainment releases are in progress and will be revealed in full on a later date.” Here’s the breakdown of bonus contents so far:

One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. Instead, they unearth The Gate — an underground chamber of terrifying demonic evil. The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences.
