‘V/H/S/94’ Brings Raatma to Blu-ray in April!

After becoming Shudder’s biggest movie premiere to date, Bloody Disgusting’s V/H/S/94 is next headed to physical media, with the home video release announced today.

RLJE Films, a business unit of AMC Networks, has picked up select rights to the fourth installment of the hit horror anthology franchise V/H/S from Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thriller and the supernatural. RLJE Films will release V/H/S/94 on VOD, Digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray on April 19, 2022.

Written and directed by an ensemble filmmaking team including Jennifer Reeder (Knives and Skin), Chloe Okuno (Slut), Simon Barrett (The Guest), Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes for Us), Ryan Prows (Lowlife), and Steven Kostanski (PG: Psycho Goreman), V/H/S/94 is produced by Josh Goldbloom for Cinepocalypse Productions alongside franchise co-creator Brad Miska of Bloody Disgusting, and Kurtis Harder (Spiral), with David Bruckner (The Night House) and Radio Silence (SCREAMReady or Not) serving as executive producers.

V/H/S/94 stars Anna Hopkins (“The Expanse”), Christian Lloyd (“American Gods”), Kyal Legend (“Backstage”) and Budi Ross.In V/H/S/94, after the discovery of a mysterious VHS tape, a brutish police swat team launches a high-intensity raid on a remote warehouse, only to discover a sinister cult compound whose collection of pre-recorded material uncovers a nightmarish conspiracy.

Gateway Horror Classic ‘The Gate’ Returns to Life With Blu-ray SteelBook in May

One of my personal favorite horror movies of all time, 1987’s gateway horror classic The Gate is opening back up on May 14 with a brand new Blu-ray SteelBook release from Lionsgate!

The new release will feature fresh SteelBook artwork from Vance Kelly, seen below.

When best friends Glen (Stephen Dorff) and Terry (Louis Tripp) stumble across a mysterious crystalline rock in Glen’s backyard, they quickly dig up the newly sodden lawn searching for more precious stones. Instead, they unearth The Gate — an underground chamber of terrifying demonic evil. The teenagers soon understand what evil they’ve released as they are overcome with an assortment of horrific experiences. With fiendish followers invading suburbia, it’s now up to the kids to discover the secret that can lock The Gate forever . . . if it’s not too late.
