The battle to survive will begin on January 21 when Azrael hits Blu-ray via IFC Films.
Genre favorite Samara Weaving stars in the dialogue-free, post-apocalyptic survival horror film with Vic Carmen Sonne and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett.
E.L. Katz (Cheap Thrills, Channel Zero) directs from a script written by Simon Barrett (You’re Next, The Guest).

In the film, “In a world in which no one speaks, a devout female hunts down a young woman who has escaped her imprisonment. Recaptured by its ruthless leaders, Azrael is due to be sacrificed to pacify an ancient evil deep within the surrounding wilderness.”
Meagan Navarro wrote in her review, “Azrael plays like a nonstop barrage of horror violence over the course of 24 hours, a gory survival thriller that doesn’t have time to dwell on the story specifics. It doesn’t really need to; Barrett’s lean, efficient script gives enough clues to let viewers fill in the blanks of this very biblical horror tale.”
