When it comes to psychological crime thrillers, the two main titles that stand out to horror fans are The Silence Of The Lambs and David Fincher’s 1995 Se7en. Drenched in atmosphere and oozing with mood, the film has maintained a rabid following thanks to its take on the seven deadly sins, its painful ending, and the fantastic casting throughout.
One of the most impressive aspects of the film was the attention to detail and the grotesqueness of each murder. And perhaps the most horrifying of these was the “sloth” scene, where pedophile Theodore “Victor” Allen was strapped to a bed for a year, withering away into himself, decaying slowly but surely. I can’t imagine something as agonizing as this.
