The cast for season 3 of Hannibal got shuffled up today, with TV Line reporting that Michael Pitt will not be returning as Mason Verger.
Actor Joe Anderson (Horns, The Crazies) will be filling his shoes as the prize pig owner/sexual sadist. According to sources, it was Pitt’s decision to leave the show. While he gave an amazing performance, the switcheroo might actually work rather seamlessly, since Verger is now thoroughly disfigured anyway.
