Morgan Loebel calls himself a “mutant maker,” and we can’t think of a better way to describe the man behind Morgan’s Mutations, a line of hand-crafted smartphone cases, light switch plates and lighter sleeves that are out of this world. Specifically, they’re of a much scarier world, looking like terrifying ’80s monsters you can hold in your hand.
One of the most noteworthy aspects of Morgan’s creations is that they have eerily lifelike teeth, and that’s thanks to the fact that Morgan isn’t just an artist. He’s also, according to his Instagram page, a dental technician, which plays a huge part in his work.
“Here you can find one-of-a-kind collectibles ranging from hand sculpted polymer clay items to original artwork all created by me,” Morgan describes his work in the Morgan’s Mutations Etsy shop. “I’ve been asked this many times, and yes..all realistic eyes and teeth that are used in my works are handmade by me, and you cannot get them anywhere else but here.”
