There was a whole lot of hype behind the new trailer for Michael Dougherty’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which hit the net this afternoon after premiering at Brazil Comic Con yesterday. And judging by the reactions we’ve been seeing across social media today, it seems we’re pretty much all in agreement that the wait was damn sure worth every second of it.
Today’s new trailer is easily one of the top trailers of the entire year, absolutely loaded with epic shots of Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan and Ghidorah that left our jaw on the floor and forced us to keep on hitting that play button. In fact, we’ve spent much of the day being awestruck by the incredible visuals on display in the trailer, and we wanted to spotlight some of our favorites.
From Mothra swooping down into our atmosphere to Godzilla and Ghidorah running full speed ahead towards one another, the second trailer for next year’s monster mash basically plays out like a highlight reel of “holy shit” moments, each one more visually striking than the last.
