The Chilean director of Hidden In The Woods (pictured and reviewed) has lined up an April shoot for Downhill, a micro-budget survival thriller in what will mark his second English-language feature.
Says ScreenDaily, Patricio Valladares, who attended the Beyond The Window development sidebar at Ventana Sur last week with home invasion thriller Breath, closed the deal at the market in Buenos Aires.
“The story centres on a paralegal trapped on an mountain with a killer on a mission to kill a sick man.”
“Think Cliffhanger meets Paranormal Activity by way of David Cronenberg’s old movies,” said Valladares.
Barry Keating and Valladares will co-write Downhill for producer George Von Knorring of Chile’s Too Much Films.
