‘Population Zero’ Premiere Set For the Newport Beach Film Festival

Julian Pinder and Adam Levins’ Population Zero focuses on the crazy true fact that there exists a place in America where there are no laws and you can really get away with murder.
The indie production is set to World Premiere next week at the Newport Beach Film Festival.

Despite his detailed confession, Nelson goes free because of a loophole in the American Constitution. Documentarian Julian T. Pinder travels to Yellowstone in a chase for truth behind a crime that should have rocked the nation. How did the United States Constitution let a guilty man go free? When nurse Julia finds herself trapped inside the home of her dementia patient, she begins to suspect things are not what they seem; something demonic is seeping through the cracks of this old home. Trapped and with nowhere to turn, Julia soon finds herself in battle to rid the house of this evil before it is too late.

“This film depicts the most harrowing 90 minutes of our protagonist’s life, and I felt that the most visceral way to really feel this was to do a single-shot film,” O’Brien previously teased. “We are with her every step and misstep she takes – through the unraveling of the mystery to the horror of her discovery. It’s a fun, twisty roller-coaster ride that puts a new spin on exorcisms.”
Bury the Devil is the first installment in a planned trilogy. The prequel, Bury the Devil: Origin, is already in development with O’Brien returning to the helm.
O’Brien produces along with Philip Kalin-Hajdu (The Sacrifice Game) and Benoit Beaulieu (Turbo Kid).
