From acclaimed Spanish filmmaker Mateo Gil, director of Blackthorn, comes the cryogenic chiller, Realive (formerly Project Lazarus), which takes a modern spin on Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein.”
Tom Hughes stars as a man awakened from cryogenic sleep 60 years into the future who must adjust to a life that left all his loved ones behind.
Also starring Charlotte Le Bon and Oona Chaplin, the film screened at the UK FrightFest in London, while it will also debut at Sitges this coming October.
Benedict Seal reviewed the film for us, stating that “Realive is a clinical new-Frankenstein tale on the surface, but the moving central romance provides the film’s beating heart.”
