From acclaimed Spanish filmmaker Mateo Gil, director of Blackthorn, comes the cryogenic chiller, Realive (formerly Project Lazarus), which takes a modern spin on Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein.”
Tom Hughes stars as a man awakened from cryogenic sleep 60 years into the future who must adjust to a life that left all his loved ones behind.
Also starring Charlotte Le Bon and Oona Chaplin, Syfy Films announced today a release in theaters on September 29 and on VOD and Digital HD on October 3.
Benedict Seal reviewed the film, stating that “Realive is a clinical new-Frankenstein tale on the surface, but the moving central romance provides the film’s beating heart.”
Realive is produced by Ibon Cormenzana and Ignasi Estapé of Arcadia Motion Pictures, in coproduction with Jérôme Vidal of Noodles. Marina Fuentes of Dreamcatchers acted as associate producer.
