WORLD OF DEATH Ep. 178 – “Into The Mud”

Published

on

Greetings Friends and Neighbors! Summer is here and all some of us are thinking about is hitting the old swimming hole. Of course, you never know what is lurking beneath the water off the muddy banks of the black lagoon. Yet the cool water gives us salvation, respite from the searing threat of the heat outside.

Respite is what our hero needs in today’s twisted tale. Pablo S. Pastor summons up a story of distress that rivals so many great horror tales – including a twist ending that you may feel coming, but will put a smile on the face of even the most seasoned viewers. In this tale, we find ourselves in the company of a woman waking up from a horror unknown, naked and afraid, with the impending threat of whatever it was returning. As soon as she gets her bearings, she sees him. The gun-toting hillbilly quickly gives chase after our damsel in distress.

What follows is a chase scene so visceral, it harkens back to Day of the Woman or Last House on the Left. This horrific chase shows nothing of what happened to her, yet leaves it all up to us to fill in the blanks. Soon, she finds a pool of water – her salvation. But, he is quick behind her.

I won’t spoil it for you, but you will grin with ghoulish glee when you see the resolution to this tale. Take a moment to enjoy this entry that belongs among the greatest of revenge flicks. And don’t forget to keep watching here for more horror!

Anna Faris & Regina Hall Promise ‘Scary Movie’ Will “Offend Everyone;” New Images Revealed

The Wayans are out to cancel the Cancel Culture with Scary Movie, and the cast assures it will do just that.

“They sort of have an across-the-board style,” Anna Faris tells EW. “It’s always been a part of the Wayans Brothers, their electricity. ‘Can we offend you? Will you still love us? Come on, you still love us, don’t you?'”

Regina Hall concurs, promising the “boundary-pushing” sixth installment in the horror parody franchise will “offend everyone.”

EW has shared a batch of behind-the-scenes images from Scary Movie, which hits theaters June 5 via Paramount.

Faris and Hall are joined by fellow franchise favorites Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, and Jon Abrahams in the legacy sequel.

The ensemble includes Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, Kenan Thompson, and Felissa Rose.

Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs from a script by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).

The film will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and everyfinal chapterthat absolutely isn’t final.

Scary Movie launched in 2000, followed by Scary Movie 2 in 2001. The Wayans’ involvement ended there, but the series continued with 2003’s Scary Movie 3, 2006’s Scary Movie 4, and 2013’s Scary Movie 5.
