[Watch] “Repent Now” With the Final Episode of ‘World of Death’!

Published

The sun’s getting pretty low there boils and ghouls, so here we are with the FINAL short film of World of Death. Have no fear folks, we’re continuing our horror short film showcase on BDTV with the next evolution of WOD, BLOODY BITES! Tune in now!

“Karma has no menu. You get served what you deserve.” I always enjoyed this quote. Another one that speaks to me is, “Karma never loses an address.” That one is quite ominous. But the one that I believe works best with July’s short film is a mix of my own with some help from Jurassic Park – karma…finds a way.

In July’s short film Repent Now, when amends aren’t made, deadly actions are. Written and directed by Spencer Young, karma is the key in this sssssssssspectacular film about a sweet, struggling artist named Ben. After fishing out a suitcase that he witnesses being dumped in the river, Ben takes it home and what’s inside changes his life for the better…. or possibly not?

Young’s brilliant storytelling is highlighted by exceptional camerawork and hypnotic music. The performances are stellar, notably that of the primary antagonist Jared Fortune. The enticing pops of color in certain scenes are the set production equivalent of jump scares. Simple, elegant and effective, Young has a talent that hopefully we will see make a feature and more films soon.

And that, my fiends, is the finale of World of Death. Thank you for watching over 5 years of 500+ short films that we’ve shared with you. Anna Faris & Regina Hall Promise ‘Scary Movie’ Will “Offend Everyone;” New Images Revealed

Published

The Wayans are out to cancel the Cancel Culture with Scary Movie, and the cast assures it will do just that.

“They sort of have an across-the-board style,” Anna Faris tells EW. “It’s always been a part of the Wayans Brothers, their electricity. ‘Can we offend you? Will you still love us? Come on, you still love us, don’t you?'”

Regina Hall concurs, promising the “boundary-pushing” sixth installment in the horror parody franchise will “offend everyone.”

EW has shared a batch of behind-the-scenes images from Scary Movie, which hits theaters June 5 via Paramount.

Faris and Hall are joined by fellow franchise favorites Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, and Jon Abrahams in the legacy sequel.

The ensemble includes Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, Kenan Thompson, and Felissa Rose.

Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) directs from a script by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original Scary Movie director Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans (Scary Movie 2), and Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House).

The film will slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and everyfinal chapterthat absolutely isn’t final.

Scary Movie launched in 2000, followed by Scary Movie 2 in 2001. The Wayans’ involvement ended there, but the series continued with 2003’s Scary Movie 3, 2006’s Scary Movie 4, and 2013’s Scary Movie 5.
