The Boulet Brothers Tease What to Expect from ‘Dead by Daylight’ x ‘The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula’ Collaboration
“The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula” returns for its sixth season on horror streaming service Shudder this week, bringing with them a fierce, horror-filled competition and an exciting new collaboration with popular asymmetrical multiplayer game Dead by Daylight.
The series and its hosts return for a supersized, hour and a half-long season six premiere episode on Tuesday, October 1 on Shudder and AMC+. Following the premiere, all-new hour-long episodes will debut weekly on Tuesdays.
Not only will the Dead by Daylight crossover involve a special challenge in the upcoming sixth season of the Emmy-nominated hit AMC+/Shudder reality competition show The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, but also some new in-game items for Dead by Daylight inspired by The Boulet Brothers. Bloody Disgusting spoke with the Boulet Brothers themselves, Dracmorda and Swanthula, about what to expect from this unique collaboration.
For starters, expect a themed episode in the new season. Dracmorda teases, “There is a Dead By Daylight episode, and it’s a big deal. We thought this was a huge deal. We consider it a real honor to be working with them, and so we made this the challenge that decides a lot. It’s a very important challenge. It was fantastic working with them and, yeah, having us be the first horror hosts in Dead by Daylight. That’s better than an Emmy to me.“
“I totally agree,“ Swanthula adds. “As far as what it means, the partnership with them, I feel like it just proves that we’re pushing further into the horror zeitgeist. It’s not so much about drag, necessarily. I don’t even think people sometimes see us. They see us as horror hosts and characters as opposed to drag artists. So, I think them just embracing the idea and really running with it. It is just so fun and the fan base is so energized around the idea. It’s definitely something to look forward to.”

Just how important will the Dead by Daylight episode be to the new season? Very. Dracmorda reveals, “It is the 9th episode, and it’s what decides the top three of the season.”
The collaboration doesn’t stop there, though. Expect the series to cross over into the video game in a massive way. Dracmorda explains, “You’ll be able to play as the Boulet Brothers with our claws and go in and choke people and do other various things that I don’t want to spoil, but you’ll have some Dragula items too, and little charms and different things like that, and Boulet Brothers charms and stuff. And then, yeah, there’s a really cool prize for the winner of this episode that I don’t want to say, but it’s very cool.”
The Boulet Brothers had a great experience making this a rare Halloween crossover event and appearing as the first horror hosts in Dead by Daylight. “We wanted everything, and that’s what we went to the table with, but they were very generous,“ Swanthula says. “We also had to be realistic about just the limitations of the platform. But I feel like what we’ve come up with is a very satisfying agreement, and the way that the Boulets will present in the game we’re so excited about, and they were just willing to make it as cool as possible. It was like spooky kids in a candy store. We were just riffing on each other. It was really fun.”
Dubbed “Season 666,“ the next chapter of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula is the most ambitious and terrifying yet, with world-renowned actors and directors joining the judges’ panel, raising the stakes to hellish new heights. Every episode promises spine-chilling, extreme physical feats that will push the cast of drag superstars to confront their darkest fears.
This 10-episode season is bigger, bloodier, and more brutal than anything that’s come before, featuring expanded “on location“ challenges, twisted new themes for the floorshows, cinematic sequences dripping with dread, and innovative drag that will leave viewers gasping.

‘Widow’s Bay’ Star Kate O’Flynn on Patricia’s Triumphant Final Girl Transformation
As the inaugural season of Apple TV+’s stellar new series “Widow’s Bay” barrels toward its finale in two weeks, the latest episode gives Kate O’Flynn the spotlight as her character revisits her trauma with the Boogeyman.
“Your Baggage“, directed by Andrew DeYoung (Friendship), sees O’Flynn’s scene-stealing Patricia once again renew her fight with the Michael Myers-like stalker that slaughtered her peers during her adolescence. Thrillingly, it makes for one extended chase sequence that sees Patricia trying to warn others, while evading the undead killer.
In short, this episode’s incredible riff on Halloween and the slasher subgenre transformed Patricia into a fierce Final Girl.
“Well, that felt like a bucket list that I didn’t know was on my bucket list until I did it, but when I did it, I just lapped up every minute,” O’Flynn tells Bloody Disgusting of her triumphant turn this episode. “It felt fantastic for her to get that moment where she is becoming a badass. That was amazing.”
The actress turned to a few notable references for her performance. “Horror-wise, I go back to my youth, which was referenced in some of the episodes: Wicker Man, Carrie, and Rosemary’s Baby, that sort of thing is my kind of vibe.”
O’Flynn also notes how the series’ unique tone allows for so much creative freedom to make bold swings. “There’s something very freeing about it. Every moment is up for grabs, so it’s like we don’t have to totally land in one direction or another. It keeps it alive.“
Patricia is the eccentric assistant to Matthew Rhys‘ Mayor Tom Loftis, who’s at the forefront of trying to solve the island’s pesky curse predicament. Rhys felt the same about “Widow’s Bay” and its rare ability to make you laugh and scream in equal measure, stemming from series creator Katie Dippold.
“The mandate was, ‘It’s a real world with real people. You play for real.’ There’s no playing for comedy or horror,” Rhys echoes O’Flynn’s sentiments on how freeing the series’ tone has been.
New episodes will release every Wednesday through June 17 only on Apple TV+.
