The 1994 meta slasher Wes Craven’s New Nightmare is actually the very first film in the Nightmare franchise that I saw. Kinda backwards, to put it mildly, but that film really blew me away and to this day I think it’s incredibly smart and pretty damn scary! I knew going in that the Freddy Krueger I was going to see wasn’t the same Freddy that started off the series but I still can’t help but wish that this Freddy was the one that’d been throughout the franchise. He was dark and mean, his one-liners and jokes more vicious and mean spirited, and he simply looked fucking terrifying. God, I love that movie!
NECA today announced that it is bringing us that Freddy, the one that got me hooked, this summer and they’ve got pictures of the iconic slasher in action!

This 7″ scale figure features a completely new and improved sculpt with over 25 points of articulation. It comes with an alternate head and removable hat.
