The first Predator movie is a masterpiece of sci-fi/horror that effectively blends in action and adventure. It doesn’t hurt that it’s one of the most quotable movies ever but I don’t have time to talk about that. Why? Cuz I ain’t got time to bleed.
…I’ll see myself out.
ANYWAY! Director Shane Black was recently interviewed by Collider about The Predator, the fourth movie in the series’ franchise. While he didn’t reveal much, he did let on a few interesting tidbits.
Speaking about the possible return of Arnold Schwarzenegger:
We have not talked about it, which is good because I’m not supposed to talk about it anyway. Not supposed to talk about details of the script. And I shouldn’t.
I think it’s something we’re looking into, and as this thing evolves and takes on more of a shape, we’ll figure out how best to honor the tradition of what is really a remarkable first movie and even parts of the rest of them as well.
And as for the setting of the film, Black states, “This one will be set in present day.”
Not much else is known about the movie aside from the fact that it’s written by Black, Fred Dekker, John Thomas, and Jim Thomas, as well as the release date, which is March 2nd, 2018. Settle in, everyone. It’s gonna be a bit before we get more information on this ugly mother…
