Sink Your Teeth Into Mondo’s ‘The Monster Squad’ Dracula Variant + Win All 4 Variants!
One of my favorite movies growing up was Fred Dekker’s 1987 fantasy/horror film The Monster Squad, which was essentially The Goonies meets the Universal Monsters. There was something delightful about watching people my age take on monstrosities that usually even adults had a hard time with, ultimately beating them without their help OR their belief. God, as a kid it was the best!
Today, Mondo is announcing that they will be releasing a very special 7″ vinyl that features “Rock Until You Drop” by Michael Sembello and “Monster Squad Rap” by the Monster Squad themselves. The release will feature four different variants and we’re here to show off the Phantom City Creative-designed “Dracula” cover, which you can see below!
Mondo explains:
Ahead of the forthcoming full length soundtrack album later this fall, Mondo is pleased to release The Monster Squad 7-inch single. This collectible release features the two pop songs from the classic monster mash (“Rock Until You Drop” by Michael Sembello, and “Monster Squad Rap” by The Monster Squad), and 4 different stunning covers by artists Jason Edmiston, Phantom City Creative, Randy Ortiz and ‘Ghoulish’ Gary Pullin.
Each variant will see its own special release in May, from conventions to brick and mortar stores both Stateside and across the pond. However, we want to give one lucky reader a chance to win all four variants! Below is a form to enter and we’ll let the winner know directly!

Odeya Rush (Goosebumps) fights her way through an eclectic cast that includes Sasha Lane (Twisters), Elias Kacavas (“Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin”), Ashton Sanders (Moonlight), Zión Moreno (“Gossip Girl”), Benjamin Norris (“Never Have I Ever”), Tyler Alvarez (“American Vandal”), Kirby Johnson (The Possession of Hannah Grace), Ellen Toland, Rosanna Arquette (Pulp Fiction), and Alan Ruck (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off).
