James Cameron’s “Albino Alien” Concept in Action Figure Form!

Published

Holy shit, holy shit, holy shiiiiittttt.

NECA is on fire, and I’m struggling to keep up.

While they stole the show during “Alien Day” by releasing a Kenner throwback Ripley action figure, and revealing that both “Newt” and Private Vasquez will be arriving in toy form, that was clearly only the beginning.

This afternoon they have pulled back the curtain on their Series 9 assortment that includes a concept figure taken from James Cameron’s original Aliens screenplay!

The “Albino Alien” is NECA’s first concept figure from the 1986 movie. It was inspired by the original James Cameron screenplay, which describes an albino version of the Xenomorph that has an excreting probe in place of the usual second inner mouth. The Albino Alien has over 30 points of articulation and features a bendable mouth probe and a frightening new color scheme. It stands over 9″ tall.

They also just revealed that Series 9 includes “Private Ricco Frost” – known as “Frosty” to his fellow Marines – comes to action figure form for the first time with the likeness of actor Ricco Ross. His detailed body armor features the same personalized touches as in the movie, and he’s packed with accessories: removable helmet, ammo bag, M240 Flamethrower, and pistol that fits in a functioning holster. Pvt. Frost has over 25 points of articulation.

Lastly, full details on “Private Jenette Vasquez” are here. She is one of the most requested action figures of all time and features the likeness of Jenette Goldstein. Her Marine gear is completely faithful to the movie, from the hand-painted mottos to the detailed headgear and shoulder lamp. Vasquez has over 30 points of articulation and comes with a smartgun with fully articulated harness, plus a blast effect that attaches to the muzzle.

How to Watch ‘Cam’ Free Online After the Tech Thriller Left Netflix

Published

Cam streaming

Before updating the video nasty Faces of Death, director Daniel Goldhaber and writer Isa Mazzei explored the dangers of online life in tech-thriller Cam, their feature debut that was acquired by Netflix in 2018 after making waves on the festival circuit.

At the end of last year, the Netflix exclusive quietly departed from the streaming platform, left without another streaming home.

It’s not an isolated story; Mike Flanagan’s Hush also left streaming entirely for a period until it was finally picked up on both physical media and other streaming services.

While the tech-thriller currently isn’t available to watch on Netflix, Tubi, Hulu, or any other platforms, that’s not a problem for Cam thanks to a very cool move by Goldhaber: the director has made his breakout film accessible to watch online for free via his website.

As his site notes:CAM is unfortunately not currently available to view on any platforms, so you can watch it here if you like :).

No subscriptions or fees necessary, just hit play.

Cam follows Alice (Madeline Brewer), who works as an online cam girl obsessed with her ranking on the cam site. The higher her ranking goes, the more it draws unwanted attention, and Alice soon finds herself replaced on her own show with a doppelganger.

Written by Mazzei, a former camgirl, it uses the horror thriller premise to examine the life of a sex worker; Alice’s career ambition is directly at odds with the shame it brings to her family, and how she tries to spare them from it by keeping them in the dark. It only compounds her danger when the doppelganger enters the equation in Goldhaber’s engaging thriller.

For a deep dive into the treacherous world of Cam, listen to Horror Queers’ episode on it now.
