The marketing machine is in full swing for Toho’s upcoming Godzilla: Resurgence, which comes out July 29th in Japanese theaters. To hype up the film, which features the largest Godzilla yet, a 1:1 scale Godzilla footprint was found on a beach on Hokkaido island.

Measuring nearly 28 meters in length and 22 meters in width, the footprint will be available for viewing at the “Ishikari Beach Sand Park 2016” event between June 18th and July 10th at Asobichi Ishikari.
Godzilla: Resurgence is co-directed by Hideaki Anno (Evangelion) and Shinji Higuchi (Attack on Titan) with Anno having written the script.
