McDonald’s is unleashing an unexpected Happy Meal collaboration that can only be described as “cute meets kaiju,” and the full reveal has us eager for next week.
McDonald’s is partnering with Hello Kitty creator Sanrio and Toho Co., the owner of Godzilla, to launch a limited-time Happy Meal combining both franchises for the first time ever. The collaboration arrives at all US locations on August 18.
McDonald’s Senior Marketing Director Guillaume Huin shared the first teaser for the exciting partnership on August 10, calling it “one of the best collections of Happy Meal toys I’ve ever seen” and “Hall of fame collectibles in the making.”
The meal arrives just as Godzilla prepares to stomp back into theaters this November with the release of Godzilla Minus Zero.
Get ready to collect them all, as the lineup features adorably cute Sanrio characters cosplaying as iconic Toho monsters.

- My Melody x Mothra
