Anime fans will see Tokyo Ghoul adapted into a live-action feature film, with Kentarō Hagiwara directing Masataka Kubota (live-action Death Note, Mars, “Photo Braver 7” television series) playing the protagonist, Ken Kaneki, and Fumika Shimizu (live-action My Neighbor Seki, HK/Hentai Kamen, Kamen Rider Fourze, Mare) playing the heroine, Tōka Kirishima.
Principal photography will last from July to September and will then open in Japan next summer.
