Tonight will mark the premiere of Epic Picture’s apocalyptic horror film Day of Reckoning. To give you a taste of what’s to come, we’ve got an exclusive trailer for you to check out below. In it, we see the scope of the demonic plague that rises out of Hell as well as the various creatures that spawn forth.
Directed by Joel Novoa, Day of Reckoning stars Jackson Hurst, Heather McComb, Jay Jay Warren, Hana Hayes , Raymond J. Barry, Barbara Crampton, Nick Gomez, and Randy Vasquez.
Fifteen years ago, the world suffered a horrific global disaster when millions of demon-like creatures ascended from the bowels of the earth, swarming the entire planet, and feasting on mankind for one full day. Now due to a lunar eclipse they have returned for 24 hours to purge the earth’s population. One family will battle against the odds to not only save themselves but to also seal the breach. Who will survive this “Day Of Reckoning”?
Epic Picture’s CEO Patrick Ewald says, “Joel Novoa created a real fun action film that plays on a lot of themes around human survival, science, and even perhaps religion,” while co-founder Shaked Berenson adds, “After the incredible success with ‘Jeruzalem’ this is a natural next step for us to take on a picture of this scope with similar dynamics.”
Novoa has already signed with Epic for another feature film, which will be announced soon.
Day of Reckoning will premiere tonight on Syfy at 9pm EST/8pm CST.
