Two new posters for Kong: Skull Island have been released and they’re both proudly displaying the absolutely shocking size of the titular character. One each was tweeted out by stars Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson and each offers a different perspective of the beast.
Hiddleston’s shows the creature from afar, his scale there for all to see as he towers above massive rocks in the ocean. Larson’s shows a close up of the creature’s face with a helicopter in front of it. Needless to say, it looks like Kong could fit the entire chopper in his mouth, if he so desired.
When King Kong and the 2014 Godzilla meet in 2020’s Godzilla vs. Kong, I have a feeling they’re going to be evenly matched when it comes to their size and dimensions. That’s no easy feat as the 2014 Godzilla was the largest iteration of the giant lizard until Shin Gojira was released earlier this year.
A diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific – as beautiful as it is treacherous – unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.
Kong: Skull Island features Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Wilkinson, Jason Mitchell, Corey Hawkins, Thomas Mann and John Ortiz.
The films opens in theaters on March 10th, 2017, followed by Godzilla 2, which is being directed by Michael Dougherty, on March 22, 2019, and Godzilla vs. Kong on May 29, 2020.
