Another batch of photos have leaked from the set of Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant, and they carry two major revelations.
While we won’t post them here, you’ll find them over at AvP Galaxy, with details behind each of the shots. While we already know we’re going to see the giant Space Jockey weapon once again, what these photos reveal are two potential shockers: there are in fact female Engineers (what, were they supposed to be asexual?), and that David could be responsible for some of the Xenomorph creations we’ve seen over the years. I think my favorite image is of a bunch of burned Engineers in front of some sort of gate, which looks like it’s on their home planet; I love the scope of this franchise and am dying to see if Scott can create a believable alien world in a Hollywood that’s incapable of doing so themselves.

In the film:
Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
Michael Fassbender is returning as Prometheus‘ android David, with Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice, Jobs, The Babysitters) leading a new crew that includes Demian Bichir and Danny McBride (“Eastbound and Down”), as well as Alex England (Gods of Egypt), Billy Crudup, Amy Seimetz (A Horrible Way to Die, “The Killing”), Jussie Smollett (“Empire”), Carmen Ejogo, and Callie Hernandez (Machete Kills).
Alien: Covenant arrives on May 19th, 2017.
