The Best ‘Kong’ Trailer is Japanese

Even though King Kong is our creation, he still feels like he belongs in Japan alongside Godzilla. That’s probably why this Japanese trailer for Kong: Skull Island feels so right. The Japanese narration give me all the feels. Oh, and there’s a shit ton of new shots of the King, from walking through a stream to destroying a helicopter. The colors are everything.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ Kong: Skull Island stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Wilkinson, Jason Mitchell, Corey Hawkins, Thomas Mann and John Ortiz.

In the film: A diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific – as beautiful as it is treacherous – unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.

The films opens in theaters on March 10th, 2017, followed by Godzilla 2, which is being directed by Michael Dougherty, on March 22, 2019, and Godzilla vs. Kong on May 29, 2020.
