T.J. Miller, who steals the show on HBO’s “Silicon Valley”, is in final negotiations to join Underwater, Fox and Chernin’s action-thriller, says THR.
Kristen Stewart is already attached to the film, “which follows a crew of underwater researchers who must scramble to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean laboratory.”
William Eubank (The Signal) will direct from a script by Brian Duffield (Insurgent, Jane Got a Gun).
Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Tonia Davis are producing, while Kevin Holloran is executive producing.
A March production start in New Orleans is being eyed.
Miller was most recently seen in Office Christmas Party and Deadpool, opposite Ryan Reynolds.
