J.D. Dillard’s Sleight quietly premiered at the Sundance Film Festival where WWE and BH Tilt made magic together, acquiring the thriller for release here in the States.
In theaters April 28th, the film follows a young street magician (Jacob Latimore) who is left to care for his little sister after their parents’ passing and turns to illegal activities to keep a roof over their heads. When he gets in too deep, his sister is kidnapped and he is forced to use his magic and brilliant mind to save her.
The new trailer teases a huge battle, while making us question whether or not he’s truly using “magic”; you see, it appears that his tricks may be related to the use of magnets, and that he needs to increase the power for the final battle to save his sister. This is probably where the Chronicle meets Iron Man comes from. But I digress, I’m hoping he actually does have special capabilities and that his use of magnets only amplifies that. My only fear is that the below trailer doesn’t have a lot of footage, which probably means it’s lacking in trailer moments. That’s a bit worrisome. Anyways, tell us what you think…
